About Me
Hi, I’m Crystal! As a mother and a wife I am always thinking about the well being and future of my family. As life goes on the more I get this feeling to start my own homestead and teach my children the skills they need to thrive with nature. To learn myself some of the forgotten ways in which people used to live and survive from the food they grew and raised in their back yard. To “go back” in time as they say.
Which brings us to now! We sold our home on the west coast and moved over halfway across the United States with two children, 2 rats, 3 dogs, a cat and a bunny rabbit, to the beautiful Ozark mountains in Arkansas. We bought 7 beautiful acres in a small town with plenty of room to make this wonderful dream become a reality. With plans of animals, gardens, smoke houses, processing rooms, canning, making cheeses and so much more, I am beyond excited for this journey and all the ups and downs that will go along with it. We hope you enjoy following us on our homesteading journey as we share with you what we learn along the way.
